Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a commercial building fire Tuesday at 10 a.m., in the Lorton area, according to a news release from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. The restaurant, La Brasa Chicken, is located at 7738 Gunston Plaza.Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof in the rear of the building upon arrival. Firefighters conducted an aggressive fire attack and quickly brought the fire under control. All occupants escaped without injury.Damage is estimated at $100,000.According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. Grease in the oven and duct area too close to a heat source caused the fire.
