Sunshine, grass, music & a few hundred of your fellow volleyball lovers! Ring in the summer with The Side-Out Foundation at the 10th annual Rock the Pink™ Festival (RTP)! Play the sport you love while raising funds for breast cancer research!
The Rock the Pink™ Festival (RTP) is Side-Out's flagship event, and 2014 marks 10 years since the very first one! Side-Out’s goal for the 2014 RTP event is to raise $50,000 for breast cancer research. The funds raised at RTP will go toward Side-Out’s clinical trial which is aimed at finding effective treatments for Stage 4 cancer, the most advanced form of the disease and the least funded area of research.
Besides outdoor volleyball, the event also features a DJ, raffle, backyard games, vendors, and a hospital card project. Dates and times are Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th, 7.30 AM-7.00 PM. In addition L.L Bean will be represented at the tournament and will be offering kayaking discovery courses for $20 per person. This event is a great opportunity for families to come out and enjoy a day in the beautiful nature of Occoquan Park.
