Storm Knocks Out Power to More Than 1,000 Homes in Lorton
Thunderstorms rolled through Northern Virginia Saturday night.

Fast-moving thunderstorms knocked out power Saturday night to more than 1,000 homes in the Lorton area.
According to a Dominion Power outage map, an area along Furnace Road in Lorton showed that 1,221 homes were without power.
Dominion restored power to the area during the night.

More than 2,000 homes in Fairfax County were without power Saturday night; another hard hit area was Great Falls and McLean, where hundreds were without power.
As of about 3 a.m. Sunday, the county had 555 homes without power.
