BRISTOW, VA — A house fire in Bristow left two firefighters injured on Monday night, the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue said in a news release.

The firefighters' injuries were not life-threatening. They have both been released from medical facilities.

No other injuries were reported in the blaze, which displaced two adults. Investigators believe an accidental electrical issue in the garage sparked the fire.

The fire broke out around 8:45 p.m. on Monday in the 9200 block of Rainbow Falls Drive in Bristow. When first responders arrived, they saw fire spreading from the garage into the home and the attic, according to the fire department report.

Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control, authorities said.

The home sustained significant damage in the fire, and the building official deemed the home unsafe to occupy. Fire department officials did not provide an estimate for how much damage the blaze caused.
