• Digital Gateway Developer Files Last Minute VA Supreme Court Appeal: Report (patch.com) — Manassas-area residents face new uncertainty as developer QTS files a last-minute appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court to revive the massive Digital Gateway data center project near Manassas Battlefield Park. The project, once backed by Prince William County, has lost key partners and twice been blocked in court after years of opposition over environmental, historic, and quality-of-life concerns.    

• Governor Spanberger Announces $2.48 Million Investment for Businesses (hamptonroadsmessenger.com) — New state funding will expand small-business and housing loans in areas that include the City of Manassas and Manassas Park, potentially opening more financing options for local entrepreneurs. Through the Capital for Communities Fund, Virginia is channeling $2.48 million to community lenders, who expect to support hundreds of businesses, create or retain jobs, and help build new housing units statewide.    

• Washington Metro's Unemployment Rate at 5.7 percent (einpresswire.com) — Manassas City is specifically included in new unemployment figures for the broader Washington metro area, which now has a 5.7% jobless rate in the DC-MD division and 4.4% across the full region. The report shows job losses over the past year in several key sectors and rising unemployment across the metro, trends that affect workers and commuters living in and around Manassas.
