Manassas Man Charged With Rape Of 16-Year-Old Girl: Police (patch.com) — Residents in and around Manassas may want to be aware that police have arrested a 34-year-old local man on a rape charge involving a 16-year-old former co-worker, linked to an incident in Bristow in March. Prince William County police say the suspect is in custody and has a court hearing scheduled for Sept. 25, while emphasizing that the victim was not physically injured.
2. 21-Year-Old Prince William County Man Killed In Crash After Losing Control Of Car: Police (patch.com) — Residents in Manassas and nearby Manassas Park are being notified that a 21-year-old Manassas Park man died after losing control of his car and crashing into a parked tractor-trailer in Bristow. Prince William County police say speed may have been a factor and are asking anyone who witnessed the Thursday afternoon collision to share information through their tip line.
3. Man Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison For Fatal 2023 Stabbing In Manassas (patch.com) — A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison, with additional time suspended, for fatally stabbing a Manassas man during a 2023 fight on Sudley Road. Prosecutors say eyewitnesses saw the attacker stab the victim in the chest, and the sentence sits at the high end of Virginia's guidelines, followed by a decade of supervision after release.
