Another Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of Manassas 18YO, Eight Now Face Murder Charges

Prince William County police have announced another arrest over the death of Luis Angel Chavez.

MANASSAS, VA – Another man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a Manassas 18-year-old in June, bringing the total number of people charged in his death to eight.

Prince William County police announced Tuesday that they have charged Jaiden Juel France, 19, of Manassas with felony murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony over the death of Luis Angel Chavez. France was arrested on Tuesday.

Chavez was killed in a shooting on the night of June 15 in the Bull Run Mobile Home Community in the area of Peppertree Land and Pebble Lane, police say.

The county recently announced the arrests of four people in connection with his death. In total, eight people have been charged, three of them minors. All are facing murder and firearms charges.

Chavez’ community mourned his death publicly, calling him a “deeply loved” neighbor and someone always willing to help others.
