Burger King Thief Wanted In Gainesville

A man is wanted for brazenly robbing a Burger King Tuesday morning in Gainesville, according to Prince William County Police.

GAINESVILLE, VA — A man is wanted for brazenly robbing a Burger King restaurant Tuesday morning at 7640 Linton Hall Road, according to Prince William County Police. He's described as white, in his mid 50s, 6-0, 190 pounds with a thin build, collar-length hair and a crooked tooth. He was last seen wearing a red and white cap, a long sleeved grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Around 10:30 a.m., officers arrived at the restaurant for a reported robbery. Employees and several witnesses said an unknown man walked into the eatery, place an order at the counter and then, when the cash register was opened, reached over the counter and grabbed money despite the cashier's efforts to stop him. He then fled in a blue Ford Explorer. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
