Join Northern Virginia Family Services to Help Feed Our Neighbors During the Holidays

For many families in Northern Virginia, affording groceries is a challenge year-round, and the holiday season puts additional strain on already tight budgets.

At Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS), we help individuals and families meet essential needs and build lasting stability. This fall and winter, we invite you to join us in helping our neighbors access nutritious food through our Hunger Resource Center.

Through our Hunger Resource Center (HRC), we connect hundreds of local families each month with fresh produce, pantry staples, and grocery store gift cards. Your food donation or financial contribution will help families put nourishing meals on the table this holiday season. Here’s how you can help:

Donate Food

Drop off food donations at the NVFS Hunger Resource Center, located at 10058 Dean Dr. Manassas, VA 20110.

Most needed items include:

• Canned fruit (in natural juices, not syrup)
• Canned soup (low sodium; vegetable soups and soups/stews with meat)
• Canned tuna
• Canned chicken
• Dried beans (black, pinto, kidney, garbanzo)
• Pasta
• Pasta sauce (low/no sugar added)
• Peanut butter (low/no sugar)
• Low sugar cereals and oatmeal (examples: Kix, Cheerios
• Cooking oil

Food Donation Drop-Off Dates: November 9, 16, 18, and 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Make a Financial Contribution

Donate a financial gift online to help NVFS purchase what’s needed most, including grocery store gift cards provided to families who visit the HRC before the holidays.

Together, we can help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food and essential resources throughout the fall and winter.
