City Police, Task Force Net Another Child Pornography Suspect

Local man jailed following Internet investigation.

A Manassas man is in jail on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography, the Manassas City Police Department announced Wednesday.

David Rabbo, 47, of 8810 Bentfield Drive, was arrested after a 20-month-long investigation into the possession of child pornography over the Internet, Manassas police said. The probe was conducted by city police investigators who worked with the Northern Virginia-District of Columbia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The city police also arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on the same charges on March 19 after an investigation by the task force. They did not indicate whether the two cases are related.

In Rabbo’s case, the city investigators and ICAC Task Force identified him as a suspect in October 2013, through interviews and a search of his former residence at 9203 Fry St., Apt. 201.

Rabbo was being held on a $5,000 bond at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, the city police said. He has a pending court date in the Prince William Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.
