City to Name Interim Manager

Today is the last day on the job for Manassas City Manager Larry Hughes. 

According to city documents, the council will meet at 2 pm today to appoint an interim city manager. 

Hughes has served as manager for the city for over 12 years and has been lauded for his work on .

City officials have been actively looking for a replacement for Hughes, which Mayor Parrish has identified as a close to impossible task, since at least mid July, when Hughes announced to council members he would be retiring.
