Mid-Atlantic Dachshund Phest

The Mid-Atlantic Dachshund Phest is a celebration of fun, second chances, and of course, dachshunds. The phest invites everyone – owners, dog lovers, and fun seekers alike – to attend and enjoy a day at the fairgrounds with the original hot dogs… dachshunds!  All dachshunds and dachshund wannabes are welcome! The Mid-Atlantic Dachshund Phest is famously known as the MADP. The MADP evolved from the original Virginia dachshund picnic called Bark in the Park. MADP began at the Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, VA in 2002. After a very rainy MADP in 2003, the committee decided it was best to move the MADP indoors. We kicked off the 2004 MADP at the Prince William County Fairgrounds. The MADP has grown exponentially to approximately 1,200+ attendees. Our perennial vendor list continues to grow. In 2012, we are continuing to offer the opportunity to be a MADP sponsor. We rarely meet a human owned by a dachshund that isn’t familiar with the MADP. If you are a returning attendee… this year’s MADP will be the best EVER. If you have never been… welcome, and mark your calendar now. It is a day devoted to your best friend(s).
