Felony Child Neglect Amid 'Deplorable Living Conditions' in Manassas: Police

Three young children were handed over to Child Protective Services and two people were arrested, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — Two people were arrested on felony child neglect charges Saturday amid evidence of "narcotics use" and "deplorable living conditions," in the 7500 block of Alleghany Road, according to Prince William County Police.

Three young children — a 3-month-old girl, a 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old boy were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Mahad Farah Abdi, 37, of the aforementioned address, was charged with four counts of cruelty and injury to children and one count of felony child neglect and abuse.

Makiya Shaneeya Bre Clark, 26, of the same address, was charged with three counts of cruelty and injury to children and one count of felony child neglect and abuse.

They're both being held without bond.
