Gang Members Arrested After Manassas Stabbing: Police

A stabbing Sunday morning led to the arrest of two gang members, according to Prince William County Police. One suspect is a juvenile.

MANASSAS, VA — Two suspected gang members were arrested Sunday following a stabbing in the 8600 block of Parkland Street, according to Prince William County Police.

Moises Osvaldo Sorto-Iraeta, 21, of the 8700 block of Parkland Street, was charged with one count of malicious wounding, one count of assault by mob and two counts of gang participation.

A 17-year-old juvenile, of Manassas, was hit with the same charges.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing at La Isla, and the 19-year-old victim, of Silver Spring, Md., said he'd been in a fight with the juvenile suspect, during which Sorto-Iraeta allegedly joined the fight.

Police say the juvenile suspect whipped out a pocket knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body, after which Sorto-Iraeta pushed him to the ground and continued the assault.

The suspects fled but soon were caught at different locations.
