Gingerbread Contest Winners Announced

Historic Manassas, Inc. has announced the adult and child winners for the annual Gingerbread contest.

is over and the winners have been announced.

Residents were encouraged to view and vote on the displays crafted by children and adults at the shops in 'Merry Old Town's' windows from Nov. 18 to Dec. 1 this year.

The results were tallied based on individual adult and child categories and the winners were announced on Historic Manassas, Inc.'s Facebook page Dec. 15.

Here are the winners for the individual adult category:

  • Adult First Place Winner—Bindi Oldershaw, house #4, displayed in Whimsical Galeri
  •  Adult Entry Second Place Winner: Alan Pfeifer, house #1, displayed at Creative Brush Studios
  • Adult Entry3rd Place Winner: Susannah Derbenwick, house #2, displayed at Persnickety Cakes

The child and child community categories consisted of the following winners:

  • First Place Child Entry Winner: Evan Bauer, house # 6, displayed at Opera House Gourmet
  • Second Place Child Entry Winner: Emily Lerch, house # 8, displayed at Foster's Grille
  •  Third plac Child Entry Winner: Bethany Mathews, house # 1 displayed at Old Town Barber Shop
