Great Escape: The Prince William County Fair
Virginia's largest fair is back in town with week-long events.
Where can you find a Ferris wheel, an Elvis impersonator, goats, pigs and a real demolition derby all at the same place?
Beginning this Friday, you can find all this plus much more at this year's Prince William County Fair.
The week-long fair will provide absolute fun for the entire family and will feature events for just about anyone.

Located on the scenic countryside of the Prince William County, the fair is the biggest and most popular in Virginia.
Along with new rides this year there is a slew of events taking place throughout the week including livestock competitions, concerts, a rodeo, demolition derby, little piglet races and home arts exhibits.

Real horses won't be the only ones at the fair flexing their horsepower. The truck and tractor pull will feature tractors outfitted like monster trucks and competing in races.
Motocross riders will launch their dirt bikes into the sky while performing flips and twists for the crowd. R&R Productions will hold their demolition derby where you can even enter your vehicle into the car-crunching, metal-smashing event.
Livestock competitions include judging on best in show for sheep, pigs, cattle, goats and rabbits. You can also enter your pet and baby into competitions.
An Elvis tribute show and live performances by Big Green Cherry and Leon & Associates are also planned. Fair goers can showcase your skills on stage at open mic night on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Tons of food vendors will be there serving up carnival classics to quell your hunger.
Tuesday, Aug. 16 is $2 adminission day and Sunday Aug. 14 is half-price admission. Visit the fair's website and Facebook page for pricing on tickets and rides and a full schedule of events.
