Happy New Year!

New year is a wonderful time of the year. People enjoy and come together to celebrate the start of the year. The holiday is celebrated with lights and decorations, and get togethers. It is also the time to take vacations or go to New York to see the countdown till next year.

What do Muslims do on New Year? Well, firstly we would try to get together and give people smiles, gifts and greeting cards. But, as a Muslim, I don’t only do this, rather my family and I focus on prayers so that we have a good year ahead. We give people good wishes but try to spend most of our time at midnight or early morning in remembrance of God. So, in the end, the New Year is a time of happiness, getting together, and remembering God. Happy New Year all!
