Man Assaults Cop, Tries to Take Taser in Manassas: Police
It all began with an investigation of a domestic dispute, according to Prince William County Police, but things quickly got out of control.
MANASSAS, VA — A man being questioned about a domestic dispute early Sunday morning in the 7600 block of Croce Court turned the Q&A into a physical altercation, hit an officer in the head and tried to take a Taser from his holster before being detained.
Billy Antonio Gonzalez, 24, of the 11300 block of Golden Leaf Circle, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, attempt to disarm a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.
He's being held without bond.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police arrived at the scene and Gonzalez refused officers' request to enter the apartment to verify the safety of the other party. They tried to detain him but he instead struck one officer and tried to snag his Taser.
Minor injuries were reported.
