Manassas Carjacking Suspect Arrested In Fairfax County: Police
A suspect sought in connection with a carjacking in the Manassas area was arrested Wednesday, police said.
MANASSAS, VA — A suspect sought in connection with a carjacking that occurred in the area of Bull Run Rd. and Yorkshire Ln. in Manassas on Tuesday was arrested Wednesday after being involved in an unrelated incident, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Late morning on Wednesday, Prince William County officers went to the 7200 block of Sudley Rd. in Manassas to investigate a stolen vehicle. The victim, a 41-year-old man, reported to police that he went inside a nearby business leaving his truck with an attached trailer running in the parking lot. While inside the business, an unknown man and woman entered the truck and drove out of the parking lot toward Fairfax County.
Both suspects were subsequently located and arrested by Fairfax County police officers. When Prince William County officers arrived to assist, the male suspect, identified as Robert Michael Redfern, was determined to be the same man involved the carjacking the day prior, according to the police.

The female suspect, identified as Nicole Anne Barrett, was not determined to be involved in the carjacking. Officers also determined the trailer was damaged while in possession of the suspects. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested on Wednesday.
Redfern, 41, of no fixed address was charged with carjacking, grand larceny and destruction of property, according to the police. He is being held in jail without bond, with a court date scheduled for Nov. 9.
