Both Manassas Denny's Shooting Suspects Arrested
A Manassas man is charged with murder during the robbery of a Denny's restaurant. A second suspect is arrested in Maryland, police say.

MANASSAS, VA — Two men wanted in connection with the killing of a food delivery driver and wounding a customer at a Denny's restaurant in Manassas are in custody, the Prince William County Police Department said Sunday. At about 2:25 a.m. on Dec. 26, police say the pair entered the Denny's at 8201 Sudley Road, demanded money, cellphones and wallets from employees and customers of the restaurant, and shot two men as they fled.
Based on evidence collected at the scene, detectives identified the gunman as Jordan Anderson, 22, of 11165 Stagestone Way in Manassas, who was located in Fairfax County on Dec. 29 and arrested. He is charged with one count of murder, one count of malicious wounding, and two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony. Anderson is being held without bond, and will next be in court on Feb. 6.
Anderson was located by members of the Prince William County Special Investigations Bureau and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives following a vehicle stop in the Newington section of Fairfax County. A search warrant was subsequently conducted on Anderson's vehicle and his residence in Manassas where additional evidence was recovered.

In a statement Sunday night, the Prince William County police Department thanked members of the public who submitted tips in this case that helped to confirm the identity of the suspects involved. The police worked closely with the Virginia State Police, FBI and ATF, which offered resources, including technical and forensic support, and the U.S. Marshals who located Walker.
Yusuf Ozgur, who worked for the DoorDash food delivery service, was picking up an order at the Denny's on Sudley Road when the two robbery suspects were leaving the restaurant. Ozgur opened the door for the two, not knowing that they had just shot a customer, authorities said. One suspect, who the police believe was Walker, hit Ozgur in the head with a baton, and the other, Anderson, shot and killed him, police said.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help Ozgur's family with his funeral and memorial and other family expenses. Ozgur "was the main bread maker for his family, so any help is greatly appreciated," the organizers of the GoFundMe page wrote.
As of Sunday, $147,900 had been donated to help the family.
As the robbers were leaving, police say Anderson also shot a 34-year-old man who was being cooperative while sitting on the ground as ordered. The victim, who was eating at the restaurant with others, was treated for serious injuries and is expected to survive, police said Sunday.
A total of 23 people were at the restaurant during the robbery, including employees and customers. No money or property was taken from the business.
Authorities said they received more than 100 tips in the case.
