MANASSAS, VA — The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating the suspects in the Dec. 26 killing of a 56-year-old man at a Denny's restaurant in Manassas. While some witnesses inside the restaurant described the suspects as black males, others were unsure of their race, the police said Friday.

At about 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, two unidentified suspects entered the Denny's located at 8201 Sudley Road in Manassas. The men proceeded to demand money and property from employees and customers of the restaurant. As the suspects were leaving the establishment, they shot two men, killing one, according to police.

Both suspects were wearing dark colored clothing with hoods and their faces covered. "We encourage anyone with information on their identity, regardless of descriptive qualities, to call police," the Prince William County police said in a news release.

Yusuf Ozgur, who worked for the DoorDash food delivery service, was picking up an order at the Denny's on Sudley Road when the two robbery suspects were leaving the restaurant. Ozgur opened the door for the two, not knowing that they had just shot a customer, authorities said. One suspect hit Ozgur in the head with a baton, and the other shot and killed him, police said.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help Ozgur's family with his funeral and memorial and other family expenses. Ozgur "was the main bread maker for his family, so any help is greatly appreciated," the organizers of the GoFundMe page wrote.
