Manassas Election Results 2016: Who Voters Picked in Presidential, Local Races

Manassas picked city leaders Tuesday night and made their picks for president and Congress.

MANASSAS, VA — Local voters lined up at the polls Tuesday morning at the end of a contentious presidential election season. Manassas voters were also filling municipal seats on the city council and school board.

For residents of Manassas City, here's the local results:

Mayor Hal Parrish was reelected without opposition.

From seven candidates running for three open city council seats, the top candidates were 7,166 votes for Mark Wolfe, 6,453 votes for Pamela Sebesky and 5,840 for Ian T. Lovejoy.

For school board, the four top candidates were Kristen Kiefer with 7,384 votes, Suzanne Westre Seaberg with 7,010 votes and Robyn R. Williams with 6,802 votes.

Patricia E. Richie-Folks won the race for treasurer, with 6,889 votes against Russell Harrison's 6,498 votes.

In the race for the 10th Congressional Seat, LuAnn Bennett had the support of Manassas City voters, with 8,018-6,699. But incumbent Republican Barbara Comstock won enough votes in the rest of the district to win the race.

And, in the presidential race, Hillary Clinton led in the city with more than 54 percent of the vote, 8,395-5,934. She won the state with a narrower margin against Republican Donald Trump.
