Manassas Schools Announce Snow Day Decision Tuesday

Manassas City Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, due to snowy conditions during the morning commute.

MCPS had originally announced plans for a two-hour delay, but closed schools after snow continued to fall in the area.

The district’s statement:

“MCPS CLOSED, CODE GRAY – Due to the dangerous conditions on main and side roads, Manassas City Public Schools are now CLOSED. Please assist us in sharing this information.”

The area is still under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m.
