Mother’s Day is today. What is Mother’s Day? Mother’s Day is an amazing day where we celebrate our mothers' work they do every day to raise us and keep us safe and happy. I love my mother very much because of how kind she is and because she is the one who has to stay home and take care of me and my siblings.
In Islam, women are treated with most honor and respect. Someone asked the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about who deserves the best treatment from a person? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied, ‘Your mother’. The person asked, who is next? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said again, ‘Your mother’. The man asked again, who is next, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said again, ’Your mother’. Finally, when the person asked the fourth time, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, ‘Your father’. That is how Islam elevates women. Islam treats women with special honor and respect. So how do we Muslims celebrate Mother’s Day? I as an Ahmadi Muslim girl celebrate Mother’s Day every day, because they shouldn’t only be celebrated and loved on one day the most, but be cared for, helped, loved and celebrated every day.
