Officers Attacked By 14-Year-Old Girls In Manassas: Police

Two 14-year-old girls assaulted two officers trying officers to detain them Friday in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — Two 14-year-old girls assaulted two officers trying officers to detain them Friday morning in the 9500 block of Lomond Drive, according to Prince William County Police. One girl was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of a schedule IV narcotic and resisting arrest. The other girl was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and possession of a schedule IV narcotic.

Shortly before 9 a.m., police responded to the aforementioned address to investigate a dispute between a mother and her juvenile daughter. Upon arrival, they found the daughter and another girl in a bedroom. Both juveniles refused to cooperate with police, who then tried to detain them. That's when one of the girls hit one officer in the face and the other girl his another officer in the chest. They eventually were detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.
