Prince William County Teen Arrested Over Fatal Shooting Of 16-Year-Old At Birthday Party
A 17-year-old from Dumfries has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old at a birthday party on Saturday.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – A teenager from Prince William County has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old from Triangle over the weekend.
The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office announced late on Wednesday night that a 17-year-old boy from Dumfries had been arrested that day in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old at a birthday party in the county over the weekend.
According to the sheriff’s office, the boy is being held at a detention center in Loudoun County. The sheriff’s office hasn’t said what charges the boy is facing or whether other suspects are still being sought.

Sixteen-year-old Samuel Ojeda from Triangle was shot and killed at a party in Fauquier County on Saturday night. According to police reports, officers were called to the Rancho El Alazan events center over noise complaints and reports of gunshots that night.
When officers arrived, they found a large crowd inside and outside the event center that had gathered for a 15-year-old’s birthday party and determined that shots were coming from another property. However, while at the party site, officers witnessed an altercation between several people and heard another shot fired. They found Ojeda, but the boy was ultimately declared dead at the scene.

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office credited the Prince William County Police Department and Virginia State Police for helping with the arrest.
