Driver Charged In Manassas Crash That Killed Passenger, Dog
A passenger has died along with a dog as a result of a mid-April crash in the Manassas area of Prince William County.

MANASSAS, VA — A passenger has died as a result of a mid-April crash in the Manassas area of Prince William County, making it the second fatality after a dog died. A driver has been charged.
The crash happened around 2:23 p.m. on April 15 on Yates Ford Road near Evans Ford Road. According to Prince William County Police, a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup truck heading west on Yates Ford Road collided with a 1993 Buick Roadmaster that was in the truck's path at the intersection.
The driver and passenger of the Roadmaster sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A pug in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On April 26, crash investigators were notified the passenger of the Roadmaster died due to injuries from the crash. The driver is expected to survive.
The passenger was identified as Jessica Lynn Randall, 32, of Manassas.

A police investigation found the Roadmaster driver was driving under the influence and did not yield the right of way to the pickup truck. Jason Carter Lambeth, 46, of Manassas, was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter-DUI related and fail to yield the right-of-way. He is being held without bond and has a pending court date.
