Update: Pedestrian Struck in Manassas Saturday Dies
A woman flown to a nearby hospital Saturday with severe injuries after she was struck by a vehicle along Sudley Road has died, police said.

Police in Prince William County said a Manassas-area woman struck by a car Saturday on a sidewalk along Sudley Road has died.
Police said Rosa Maribel Marquez Lovo, 36, of Manassas, died Monday shortly before 8:30 p.m. after suffering severe injuries in the crash.

Police in Prince William County say a pedestrian was flown to a nearby hospital with severe injuries after she was struck by a vehicle Saturday along Sudley Road.

Police say a 36-year-old woman from Manassas walking on a sidewalk near Pollo Campero restaurant, in the 7900 block of Sudley Road. She was struck by a 2010 Toyota Corolla Saturday shortly before 8 p.m. after the driver allegedly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while attempting to make a right turn into the parking lot from Sudley Road.
The driver was unable to gain control of the vehicle following the impact and continued to travel southbound on Sudley Road in the northbound lanes of traffic before crossing the median and eventually stopping near Lomond Drive, according to a police report.
The victim was flown to an area hospital with severe injuries and the driver, identified as Maria Del Carment Roca Perez, 37, of Sterling, was charged with reckless driving, police said Monday.
