Piano by Gismart takes home Appy Award for the Best Music App

The APPY Awards, a prestigious mobile app award held in New York on May 17, 2017, announced the winners across 32 categories. Piano by Gismart, the app that let's play favorite songs on piano without having musical skills, won the Appy Award in Music category.

Piano app has three play options: realistic piano simulator, Magic Keys game and Magic Tiles game. The gaming aspect makes learning something new not so intimidating. To mix things up, musicians can make the piano sound like an electric guitar or organ, among others. Piano by Gismart was also the 4th most downloaded game in the world in Google Play in February 2017 outrunning Pokemon Go, Candy Crush Saga and other big game titles.

Piano wasn’t the only app by Gismart acknowledged by the Appy Awards. Beat Maker Go, a pocket drum pad for wannabe DJs and electronic dance music lovers, was also shortlisted in the final. The app has 32 pads to perform on and each sound pack has predefined loops and a built-in metronome to help users stay on pace with the rhythm. The developer partners with DJs and sound producers globally to add unique content in various genres. Two out of three APPY Awards Finalists in Music category belong to Gismart.
