Police: Bealeton Bank Robber Is At Large

Fauquier County authorities release photos of suspect in Friday heist.

Authorities in Fauquier County are asking residents in western Prince William and throughout Northern Virginia for information on a man who robbed a bank Friday afternoon in Bealeton.

On its Facebook page, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office posted surveillance photos of the suspect, described as a white man weighing about 300 pounds and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a green Champion zip-up jacket, a dark baseball hat, dark pants and black shoes. The suspect also has a deformity to his upper lip.

The robbery occurred at about 1 p.m. Friday at the BB&T bank in Bealeton, on Route 28 about 15 miles southwest of Manassas. A man walked into the bank and handed the teller a demand note, the sheriff’s office said.

The note said the suspect was armed, but no weapon was displayed. The suspect left the bank in an unknown direction. If you can identify the suspect in these photos, please contact the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 540-347-3300.
