Police: Four Wanted in Manassas Stabbing Death

Two arrests have been made. Manassas Police say death may be gang related.

Six suspects have been identified in the stabbing death of a Manassas man whose body was found Sunday, according to Manassas City Police.

The victim has been identified as Cesar Benjamin Contreras, 26, of Manassas. A state medical examiner ruled the death a homicide. The cause use determined to be multiple stab wounds.

Officers responded at 10:30 a.m. Sunday to the Colonial Village Apartments after Contreras’ body was found wrapped in a carpet and left by a dumpster.

“Investigation indicates that this was not a random attack and that the suspects involved may be connected with a criminal street gang,” according to a MCPD release.

Work by the department, along with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, led to the identification of six suspects. Two have been arrested.

Ludwig Ulises Mena Romero, 20, of the 9700 block of Main Street, Manassas, is charged with murder. He was arrested Monday.

Jose Rafael Ramierz Lopez, 18, of the 3500 block of Center Street NW, Washington, D.C., is charged with murder. He was arrested Wednesday.

Still wanted:

  • Juan Francisco “Blade” Guevara, 24, of no fixed address.
  • Mario “Joker” Portillo, 25, of no fixed address.
  • Argenes “Payaso” Sandoval, 22, whose last known address was the 9800 block of Buckner Road, Manassas.
  • A 17-year-old of Randallstown, Md., whose name was not released.
