Police Identify Man Accused Of Shooting 2 People Outside Manassas Restaurant Last Month

Police have identified a man who is accused of shooting 2 people outside of La Isla restaurant in Manassas last month. He is still at large.

MANASSAS, VA — Police in Prince William County have identified a suspect who they claim shot two people outside of La Isla restaurant in Manassas last month. However, authorities said they have been unable to locate the suspect, 39-year-old Wilder Miguel Cordero Miranda.

The shooting occurred in the 8600 block of Parkland Street on Sunday, Jan. 23. The victims were flown to area hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries, police said. The injuries for both victims were not considered life-threatening.

During their investigation, officers determined that one of the victims was in the parking lot of the La Isla restaurant when he saw an unknown man inside his vehicle. The victim, a 22-year-old man, confronted the suspect. During the encounter, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim, police said.

One of the rounds fired by the suspect struck a second victim, a 32-year-old man. Police said the second victim was uninvolved in the confrontation and was standing outside of the business.

After the shooting, the suspect followed the 22-year-old victim into the restaurant and struck him with the firearm, according to the police report. The suspect then fled the scene in a gray Nissan Pathfinder.

On Sunday, police publicly identified the suspect as Cordero Miranda. The Prince William County Police Department said they obtained warrants for his arrest, but they have been unable to locate him.

Cordero Miranda is described as a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.

He faces an array of charges, including 2 counts of aggravated malicious wounding, 1 count of attempted aggravated malicious wounding, 3 counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, and 2 counts of discharging a firearm within a building.
