Unknown suspects stopped briefly and then fled the scene, according to Manassas City Police.

A man is recovering after his mobility scooter was struck by a pickup truck in Manassas on Saturday in an apparent hit and run, according to Manassas City Police.

The victim, 58, was at the corner of Sudley Road and Digges Road with his grandson near 7:20 p.m. The two were attempting to cross at the intersection when the driver of a blue Dodge Ram pickkup truck made a right turn from Digges Road onto Sudley.

“The vehicle struck the victim’s mobility scooter, damaging the wheel and throwing him off, causing him to fall onto the curb and strike his head on the grass,” according to public information officer Adrienne Helms.
