Prince William County School Calendars 2019-20: Dates To Know

MANASSAS, VA — The first day of school for Prince William County and Manassas City students is coming up quick — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP.

Prince William County Public Schools and Manassas City Schools have posted their respective 2019-20 calendars to the district websites. The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, holidays, end of grading periods and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY SCHOOLS

Aug. 26 - First day of school

Aug. 30 - Sept. 2 - No school for students (Labor Day holiday - schools and offices closed)

Oct. 14 - No school for students (division-wide professional learning day)

Nov. 4 - No school for students (teacher professional development/workday)

Nov. 5 - No school for students (parent conference day/teacher professional development and workday)

Nov. 11 - No school for students (Veterans Day)

Nov. 27–29 - No school for Thanksgiving

Dec. 23-Jan. 3 - No school for winter break (school resumes Jan. 6)

Jan. 20 - No school for students (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

Jan. 24 - Half-day of school for elementary school (parent/teacher conferences)

Jan. 27 - No school for students (teacher workday)

Feb. 17 - No school for students (Washington's birthday/Presidents Day holiday)

March 30 - No school for students (teacher workday)

April 6–10 - No school for spring break (students return to school April 13)

April 13 - No school for students (teacher professional development/workday)

May 25 - No school for students (Memorial Day)

June 12 - Last day of school
