Rush-Hour Wreck Escalates Into Confrontation With Cops
Manassas woman arrested after trying to flee scene: Prince William County police.

A tussle with police officers following a rush-hour collision on Monday afternoon landed a Manassas woman in jail.

Adrienne Ozetta Taylor, 21, of 9346 China Grove Court in Manassas, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to a Prince William County police report. Taylor was held on a $2,500 secured bond at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, and her next date in court is May 7.
Taylor allegedly rear-ended another vehicle at about 5 p.m. in the area of Rixlew Lane and Ashton Avenue, near the Manassas city limit, according to Prince William police.

When officers arrived on the scene, she refused to cooperate with them and exit her vehicle so it could be towed out of traffic. Eventually, Taylor got out of the vehicle and was cited for following too closely, resulting in the crash, police said.
At one point, she tried to get back into her vehicle and, in the process, forcibly opened the door and struck an officer, police said. Taylor then tried to flee on foot, but she was quickly detained.
No injuries were reported, and Taylor was arrested without further incident.
