School Closing/Delay Update From Manassas Area Schools

Blizzard conditions have school administrators making the call early for a change in the schedule for Friday, Jan. 22.

Schools are preparing for the blizzard conditions expected to begin early Friday afternoon in the area.

By the end of the snow event, there is expected to be more than a foot of snow.

All Manassas City Public Schools will be closed Friday, January 22, 2016 due to the impending winter storm.

Code Blue for employees.

There will be no before or after school activities. Child care (SACC) with AlphaBEST is also cancelled.

In anticipation of predicted, but rapidly-changing inclement weather conditions, all Prince William County Public Schools, offices and facilities will be closed Friday, January 22. Code red for employees, with telework according to policy. SACC will not open. All Division activities and community use of schools are cancelled through Sunday, January 24. Planned SAT administration will be rescheduled.

Schools and SACC will reopen two hours late on Monday, January 25, if conditions permit. Please check for updated status information no later than 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
