Authorities believe a man fired a gunshot into the air in Manassas after an argument over a missing phone on Sunday.

MANASSAS, VA — A man fired a gunshot into the air in Manassas on Sunday after an argument over a missing phone, the Prince William County Police Department said.
No injuries or property damage was reported as a result of the shooting.
The police department did not provide a detailed description of the suspect on Monday.

Investigators said the suspect spoke with someone about a missing phone at a nearby home. After the discussion, the man walked away, pulled a gun from his waistband, and fired a single gunshot into the air, police said.
Officers said they saw someone who matched a suspect description while they were investigating on Sunday. The man ran away and police were not able to find him.
