The Stonewall Jackson Raiders squared off against the Yellow Jackets of Osbourn Park on Tuesday night.
The battle of the two Manassas teams started out with high intensity and good defense from both teams. Osbourn Park found themselves in a good situation early, shooting free throws just five minutes into the game.
Osbourn Park continued to penetrate the paint, creating foul trouble for the Raiders early.

Both teams shot the ball very well from the free throw line in the first quarter and the game stayed tight until the end of the first quarter when the Yellow Jackets went on a 7-2 run, taking the lead into the second quarter.
The start of the second half appeared to swing momentum in the way of Stonewall. The team's defense locked down and relied heavily on trapping just past mid-court.

Before the game, Raider Coach Marcus Lawrence said the key to winning the game would be "boxing out, defense and rebounding."
The Raiders applied the coach's guidance in the second quarter. Offensive rebounds, outside shooting and staying out of foul trouble gave the Raiders a 33-25 lead at the half.
At the start of the second half both teams continued to play tough and the scoring went back and forth.
Stonewall increased its lead to double digits and appeared to be in cruise control to victory.
The Yellow Jackets had other plans. Osbourn Park dialed up the full-court press and forced Stonewall to make a handful of turnovers. The Yellow Jackets pulled to within five points, but could never get closer.
Stonewall's composure and ball control with 3:30 left in the game was enough to pull out a well-earned victory.
