Super Tuesday Primary: Who Won Manassas?

MANASSAS, VA — Super Tuesday results offered big wins for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, each winning seven states, including Virginia.

Virginia 2016 Primary Results: Clinton’s Clear Win, Rubio’s Close 2nd

In Manassas, voters may have offered the sharpest distinctions in this season’s divided electorate.

Among Democrats, Hillary Clinton won among city primary voters, but Bernie Sanders did better than he performed statewide.

On the Republican side, it was the candidates trying hardest to paint themselves as anti-establishment who out-performed their state finishes.

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz each saw more support in Manassas than they did statewide — an outlier in a region that leaned toward Marco Rubio as the preferred candidate.

• Donald Trump 35.57%
• John Kasich 7.2%
