Suspect In Manassas Killing Arrested In Pennsylvania: Police
Christopher Buckner, a suspect in the killing of a Manassas man on July 30, is awaiting extradition to Virginia, police said.
MANASSAS, VA — A suspect in the killing of Manassas man was arrested Wednesday in Pennsylvania by the U.S. Marshals Service and members of the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, according to the Manassas City Police Department.
Manassas Park resident Christopher Buckner, a suspect in the killing of Tommy Campbell, 49, is awaiting extradition to Virginia, the police department said Thursday. A court date for Buckner is pending, according to the police.
At around 10:10 p.m. July 30, officers from the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court to investigate a shooting that had just occurred. Upon their arrival, the police found the two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals. Campbell died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. The other victim survived his injuries.
Buckner, 31, was wanted for murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, the Manassas police said.

The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force- Springfield Division worked with officials in Pennsylvania to locate Buckner, who was arrested in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, the police said.
