Suspect Who Hit Police Car With Stolen Vehicle Arrested In Manassas
The police department said officers have arrested a man who reversed a stolen car into a police cruiser on Monday morning.

MANASSAS, VA — Police officers arrested a man on Monday morning in Manassas after he reversed a stolen car into a police cruiser, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Authorities said there were no injuries in the crash.
The man, 24-year-old Jaquan Malik Fitchett, is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, hit & run, felony eluding, reckless driving, driving without a license, false identity to law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice, and petit larceny.

Fithcett's court date is pending and he is being held without bond.
Police officers were originally called to the 8100 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas for an unresponsive man in the car. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that the car was stolen. The man, who police later identified as Fitchett, ignored officer's commands before reversing into a police cruiser and driving away.

Fitchett abandoned the stolen vehicle on an access road. A police helicopter and K-9 searched for him before a caller saw him in the 10600 block of Provincial Drive, according to the police report.
Officers took Fitchett into custody after a brief struggle. The officers said they found several other items during the investigation that had been reported as stolen throughout the county.
