Suspicious Man Reported Watching Kids At Bristow Park: Police

According to Prince William police, the man also asked a child if he wanted to go with him to see his dog.

BRISTOW, VA — Prince William County police are searching for a man who approached a child after watching them play for several minutes at a Bristow park. According to police, the man was reported to be by himself at Clareybrook Park.

Police responded to the park around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report made earlier in the day. Police learned the man was at the park and, after watching children play for several minutes, approached one and asked him if he wanted to see his dog. According to police, the man and child started to leave the park before the child's guardian intervened.

No injuries were reported, and no threats made to children or others at the park, police said.

Police said the man was reported to be at the park on at least one other occasion. He is described as a white male who is approximately 55 years old and five-feet nine-inches tall. He has gray hair and a larger build.
