Teenager Injured In Baseball Bat Attack In Manassas: Police
One of the suspects in the Manassas attack allegedly struck the teenage victim with a bat, while the other suspects punched him.

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County police were called Friday afternoon to investigate an attack by a group of teenage boys in the 10100 block of Wimington Street in Manassas. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, reported to police that while he was walking in the area, several teenage boys approached him and one of the suspects struck the victim with a bat, while the other suspects punched him, the Prince William County Police Department said Monday.
At one point, the victim was able to grab the bat and strike one of the suspects. The boys then ran to a silver vehicle parked nearby and fled in an unknown direction, according to police. The incident occurred less than half a mile from Stonewall Jackson High School.
Prior to the suspects leaving, the silver vehicle was damaged. The victim eventually went to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. The police learned about the fight when the teenage boy was at the hospital.

The father of the teenage victim told FOX 5 DC that his son had to get 12 staples in his head but that he should recover. Neither he nor his son knows what caused the group to attack the boy in his neighborhood, he told the news station.
The suspects were teenage males wearing white and blackhooded sweatshirts that partially covered their faces., according to the police.

Surveillance footage of the incident showed what appeared to be a group of young people assaulting the boy with a baseball bat, according to FOX 5 DC. "It feels bad and it hurts because it's your son," the victims father told FOX 5 DC through an interpreter Monday.
