Three Arrested Following Fatal Shooting In Manassas: Update
Manassas City Police arrested three people this week in connection with an Oct. 29 shooting that killed 21-year-old Manassas man.
MANASSAS, VA — Three people are in custody following a fatal shooting in Manassas last week, according to Manassas City Police. The Oct. 29 shooting happened in the 10000 block of Leighton Place, during which 21-year-old Richard Webster of Manassas was fatally wounded.
Detectives arrested Nieko A. Anderson, 19, of Manassas, for murder. Also arrested in connection with the shooting were Sofia Misuraca, 20, of Haymarket, and John Childs II, 25, of Manassas, on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery.
At 12:30 p.m., when police responded to the shooting, they found Webster suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police reported earlier that one person was in custody on pending charges. Officials also said the shooting did not appear to be random.
