Meet Nicole Wagner, Baltimore, MD
"Beauty and Brains: The Perfect Combination"

My interest in being a change agent dates back to my early years of overcoming child abuse and being displaced from my parents, then placed in a strange, unknown living environment (foster care) at a young and impressionable age. However, that was not Ms. Dukes as my social worker, I learned the importance of balance, spirituality, values, individual roles in situations, responsibility verses accountability, coping skills, healthy closure and the damage of instant gratification; along with how to turn the negatives into tools for a positive future. I desire to assist others who struggle with over-coming on going or new social problems that impede upon their ability to be socially functional according to society’s standards. In the realm of community service, I have developed a special interest in the field of mentor ship. This area of practice was very personal for me due to my background of being a victim of substance abusers, domestic violence, and inability to thrive academically, darkness with feelings of hopelessness. In all my actions I apply the highest regard for humanity as well as assist on a case by case basis with no judgment or bias. I currently work with Bon Secours Health System as an Addiction Counselor III . I completed my undergrad studies with honors and obtained my Bachelor’s in Human Service with a focus in Substance Abuse Counseling and on May 15, 2011, I completed my Masters in Human Service Administration with honors with a focus in Family Counseling and Leadership.
On June 3, 2011 another Dream of mines was born, My company ; Three Star Purpose.
Three Star Purpose is a team of humble individuals called to the task of rehabilitation, habilitation, disciplining and redirecting the hurting/suffering males, females and familes of Baltimore City, with the message of hope and a plan of restoration. This call involves a commitment to plant and develop inner wellness, restoration of self-confidence, reunification of families (i.e. children) along... with independence. We seek to inspire and instills within each individual the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, belonging, and destiny. These goals and objectives will be achieved by providing awareness through seminars and workshops with a focus on empowering, literacy, self-efficacy and leadership. Three Star Purpose will provide a collaborated approach of assistance by working cooperatively with other agencies of mutual purpose throughout the Baltimore City area.

While my professional and academic status is very important to me, it’s important to have balance in one’s life. Therefore, I make certain to enjoy quiet evenings at home with a good book and glass of wine, spoken word, line dancing, bowling, comedy shows, reading mystery novels and I’m a fan of Zane and Eric Jerome Dickey. My favorite hobbies are swimming, playing checkers, café world on facebook, and bonding with my fellow queens.
