Enough about Abrams, Super 8 is a two-sided tale. One side is about this sleepy steel town in Ohio and how they deal with the outcome of a military transport train that derails out of town.

The second story is the mysterious creature that was being transported and the back story to the creature and his intentions. Some have said this movie is where Goonies and ET meet— I agree. Abrams uses film techniques made popular by those like Spielberg in the late 70s and early 80s. Abrams created a Sci-Fi film that almost all ages can enjoy. I cannot wait to add this to my collection. I am not going to list any of the cast because Abrams went with mostly no name actors and actresses (which is my favorite).
The most notable actor is Kyle Chandler, who most people know as the head coach of the Dillon Panthers on NBC's Friday Night Lights.
