Many Summer Activities Planned for Boys to Men Empowerment Program!
The Boys To Men Empowerment Program is a program to help boys 10-17 become effective future leaders. Sign your boy up today!
Summer Book Reading Program- Last year this served to be a big hit with our boys. We will select a book that will be designated for the boys to read. At the end of the book we will have a workshop (preferably with the author) for them to discuss the dynamics of the publication.
Tutoring Program- We will start an elite Math and Science tutoring program. This program will be conducted by METRON one of the number 1 mathematical and science government consulting organizations in the Nation.
Volunteer Work Program- Our boys will be partnering up to volunteer with a landscaping company. The boys will be given money for the hard day’s work along with learning valuable skills of hard work, team work, and discipline.

In addition we will be conducting the following workshops/activities
Career Day Workshop- Our last career day was awesome! We have various professionals speak to the kids about what it takes to do their job. We will be hosting a second one this summer!

Baseball Games- Several of our boys will be able to go to The National’s Games!
DC Courthouse- For a second time our boys will get to sit in on real live trials. The purpose of this activity is to help them understand the reality of standing before a judge and people having to pay for the consequences of actions.
TV Production- For a second time our boys will get to come to the set of the Big Sis Show, and learn the behind the scenes of television production- then they will assist in putting together their very own “commercial” for the Boys To Men Empowerment Program!
Goals/Choices- We will do a series of workshops that focus on Goals and Choices. We will help the boys understand how to determine short term and long term goals and how to work on achieving these goals.

NEXT UP:
Next event is the 1lyfe Basketball Tournament Fun Day. This event is designed to get the whole family out enjoy fun and be educated about depression and suicide awareness. 1 lyfe will have entertainment, food, and fun and we encourage the entire family to come out for this event.
