We'd like to do more!

Big Sis & Company is a Virginia-state registered nonprofit that's working on the final stages of becoming an official federally granted 501(c) 3. We currently provide many programs that are changing the community—but we need funding to continue and to get our official rofit nonprofit status so that we may do even more for the community through grants, sponsorships and donations.

Some of the things that we have done so far (completely out of pocket) have been:

Our Boys to Men Empowerment Program has been in effect for one year and we have been able to provide field trips, activities, workshops, mentoring for boys ages 10-17. Our workshops have dealt with topics such as leadership, dating, violence, career choices and more! Our boys have gone to baseball games, court cases, etc.

This summer we will be starting an elite tutoring program hosted by one of the top mathematical/scientific government consulting companies in the Nation.

In addition, Big Sis & Company has hosted and organized several events and brought national speakers together to deal with issues on domestic violence awareness. 

Our weekly television show airing in VA and Baltimore has dealt with numerous issues, bringing experts from around the world together to talk about family and community issues, health related topics , while spotlighting various organizations and local and national entertainers. 

As much as we have done- we want to be able to do more and are committed to utilizing all resources to changing our community.
