Grab and Go: Aug. 2 Edition

As usual, there's plenty of cheap or free family fun around Manassas Park.

It’s going to be another hot one, so be sure to keep cool with plenty of water. Don’t forget to slab on the sunscreen if you plan on being outside this week!

  • Join your neighbors and the entire Manassas Park Police force tonight for National Night Out at Signal Hill Park. As the name implies, it's a nationwide event held annually to send criminals a message that cities, towns and neighborhoods are united against crime. Event is from 5 to 9 p.m. and free food and drink will be on hand.
  • Head over to the Central Community Library and pick up August’s monthly mind bender contest form and complete it with the whole family.  This month’s topic is “Fun at the Beach.” You could win a new book if you submit your correct answers! The contest ends on Aug. 31.
