House Hunt: Aug. 4 Edition

Even if you aren't rolling in cash and don't think you can afford to buy,  keep in mind that adding a co-borrower could be enough to change you from a renter to an owner.

Cash-out Refinance: If a borrower refinances his or her mortgage at a higher amount than is currently owed with the intent of pulling out the extra money for personal use, this is called a cash-out refinance.

Clear Title: Any title that is free of liens or any legal questions as to ownership of the property in question.

Co-borrower: An additional person who is both obligated on the loan and is named on title to the property. There can be several borrowers listed on the title to the property and the loan.
